Davis Cup Legacy Training

Patrick attended the Davis Cup legacy training this week in Loughborough.

The training day involved:

  • An on court session about how to attract potential new children to the sport of tennis and the Davis Cup legacy programme.
  • A seminar on how to promote the programme on-line, how to monitor responses and how to integrate the new players into the regular club programme.
  • An on court session with Leon Smith going over what the coaches are to deliver over the six week coaching sessions (forehand week, backhand week, serve week etc).

There is a maximum of 10 children allowed to attend the free 6 week course on a first come first serve basis.  Any child who attends at least 4 of the 6 week sessions gets a free tennis racket.

Watch this space for more details on when the coaching will take place.
