Club Champs

Kippen held their annual Club Champs finals day on Sunday, with Mens' Doubles, Singles and Mixed Doubles finals all taking place.

The first match up saw Calum Warwick and Fergus Craig defeat John Warttig and Jeremy Pemperton-Piggot in a closely contested final. John and Jeremy took the first set 6-4, and Calum and Fergus battled back to win in a tight 3 sets.

Next up was the Mixed Doubles final, with Chris Jewell partnered with talented junior Sarah Gibb playing John Warttig and Karen Dekker. Chris and Sarah played a wonderful match, and were ultimately too good on the day, winning in straight sets.

Finally, Fergus Craig played Calum Warwick in the Men's Singles. Fergus played some fantastic tennis to win the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 and to take the title for the third year running.

All in all it was a hugely successful day, with a great turnout coming down to watch and support and to enjoy the tennis (or maybe just the BBQ and drinks...!).
