These regulations are enacted and enforced by the club’s Committee. They may be subject to change at any Committee meeting.  A copy is posted on the club’s website and on the club notice board.

The club is affiliated to the LTA.  The rules of the LTA and the Essex LTA shall also apply.

By joining the club, all Members agree to be bound by, observe, and comply with the Rules, Policies and Procedures of the club.

 

  1. GENERAL

1.1 Neither the club nor any Committee Member will be held liable for any damage, injury or loss caused by any act or omission of a club Member. All club Members must comply with the club’s Health and Safety policies and procedures. Members must accept responsibility for their own safety.

1.2 Club Members and their visitors shall always whilst on the club premises, conduct themselves in a manner which reflects favourably on the game of tennis and the club, particularly when in the presence of juniors.  A code of conduct is posted in the clubhouse for guidance.

1.3 Members or Visitors leaving unattended vehicles, rackets, clothing or other property at the club do so at their own risk.

1.4 The club cannot be held responsible for the safety of juniors using club facilities, at any time, whether attending a supervised session or not.

1.5 Members are expected to always wear appropriate tennis clothing and in particular tennis footwear in order to avoid damage and marking of the court surface.  Shirts must be worn at all times.  Players who are considered by the committee to be improperly dressed may be asked to leave the court.

1.6 Members should comply with any information or signs displayed at the courts and/or in the clubhouse.

1.7 Members should comply with the Club’s published Code of Conduct.

1.8 The Committee reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership of any member who is deemed prejudicial to the interests of the club, in keeping with the Club Constitution.

1.9 All members must complete a membership application form.  Personal data will be processed by the club for the purposes of club administration and to facilitate participation in social events and competitions etc.  Data will not be passed on to any 3rd parties.  The membership form includes an opt-out for those not wishing to be contacted by the club.

1.10 Members should never participate in tennis against the advice of medical professionals.  The club has no obligation to provide trained first aid assistance.  Members are encouraged to record emergency contact details (cards provided), and to carry them within their tennis kit.

 

2. SUBSCRIPTIONS

2.1 Annual subscriptions are due on 1 April.  Players are not permitted to use the courts unless their club subscription has been paid. 

 

3. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Adult Full  (Annual renewal) - £144

Adult (Introductory) - £78.  Discounted rate for first club subscription.

Family Full (Annual renewal) - £312

 

Family (Introductory) - £180 - Discounted rate for first club subscription.

Junior - £40 - up to 18 years old

 

Junior Coaching - £2 - up to 18 years old; may attend coaching only.

In addition to the Introductory discount, fees for new subscribers are reduced pro-rata monthly.

 

4. NON-MEMBER POLICY

4.1 Adult club members may bring visitors to play at the club subject to the following conditions:

4.1.1 Visitors must pay a fee of £4 per visit.

4.1.2 At the discretion of the Committee, visitors may pay and play at the club on a maximum of 3 occasion’s pa.

4.1.3 Visitors, with a view to joining, are welcome to attend up to three organised sessions.

 

5. COURT PRIORITY

5.1 Courts may only be reserved by individual members online via the club’s ClubSpark calendar.

5.2 All scheduled fixtures and events are shown on the ClubSpark calendar.

 

 

6. LEAGUE MATCHES

6.1 Players are only eligible for team selection if they are fully paid-up members.

6.2 Members wishing to be considered for a team may be invited to attend a try out session prior to team selection.

6.3 Committee will decide the number of teams to be entered for each season.

6.4 A match fee will be levied, as determined by the Committee and collected by the team captains. 

6.5 All team players should expect to contribute fairly to any post-match refreshments and drinks provided.
