Welcome to Knebworth Tennis Club
Knebworth Tennis Club is a friendly, welcoming village tennis club in Knebworth, Hertfordshire, located in the recreation ground just off Watton Road.
We are an LTA-registered tennis club and welcome new members of all ages and abilities, whether you’re a complete beginner, a social player, or a competitive league player.
Our members come from across the local area, including Knebworth, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hitchin and surrounding Hertfordshire villages, making the club a vibrant and social hub for tennis in the community.
Membership for the current season runs until 31 March 2027, and we’re always delighted to welcome new players.
Over 80 Years of Tennis in Knebworth
Current member Jane, here in 1969, has been a member since 1968.
Knebworth Tennis Club has been part of the local community for more than 80 years. Originally played on grass courts, the club has evolved over time to offer modern, year-round facilities.
Today the club features:
- 2 new Tiger Turf courts
- 2 hard courts
- Floodlighting on three courts, allowing play throughout the year
- A chalet-style clubhouse
- Table tennis facilities and clubhouse amenities for members
We continually invest in improving the club and its facilities, guided by feedback from our members.
