Due to awful weather conditions on Sunday 23rd July, Lanchester Lawn Tennis Club had to postpone the “Tennis a thon” in aid of Dementia UK. (Dementia UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1039404) and Scotland (SC047429)). However, they were able to hold the event the following Sunday.

The event involved club members playing tennis continuously from 11am until 5pm, raising funds for this worthy cause. There was a lot of interest shown, both by players and visitors. The club would like to thank all who participated or attended the event, and especially those who generously donated to the charity. The picture above shows the first group of players ready to start.
