Fully qualified, Paul Mannion coaches tennis skills to individuals and groups, children and adults.

Lindow Head Coach Paul Mannion’s Profile:
- Paul’s Qualification: LTA Licensed Senior Club Coach (Level 4)
- Other Qualifications: First Aid, Safeguarding, Cardio tennis instructor, has attended & passed over 50 CPD training courses learning & fine tuning all aspects of technique, tactics, physical skills & mental skills.
- Experience: Full Time Tennis Coach since 1998 and Head coach at Lindow Ltc for 20 yrs.
- Paul has also coached at David Lloyd Trafford (was a member of a small team who were awarded David Lloyd’s national coaching team of the year) Bramhall Lane Ltc , Heaton Mersey Ltc and Heyes Lane Ltc
- Local impact
Paul, having been the resident head coach at Lindow Ltc for 20 years is proud to have coached over two thousand local people of all ages, during this time he has built up a strong reputation for both himself & Lindow Ltc & feels he is respected by all those he has had the pleasure of coaching but also within the local tennis community. Paul has always set high standards for himself & believes he has been a strong role model in particular to all the children he has coached over the years.
Paul has also supported the Duke of Edinburgh scheme & helped around a hundred local children through their bronze, silver & Gold awards.
- Paul’s playing career
Paul has represented Cheshire & the North West both at home & abroad in various team matches & tournaments and has won many of these.
He was ranked in the top 20 in England for the under 16 age group
- Pauls’ early Career
At 16 he made a difficult decision to either pursue his dream of playing at Wimbledon or to accept one of three offers to become a professional footballer. He signed for Stockport County on a 3 yr professional contract which then led to being offered a two year contract to play for Wellington Phoenix in the New Zealand Premier league. Unfortunately he suffered a career ending pelvic injury which brought him home where he rediscovered his passion for tennis.
- Paul’s Spare time
Paul is also an FA level 2 Football coach & Coach/Manages his son’s football team who play in the East Manchester premier league.
Paul’s present objective:
Working at a small local club like Lindow he feels his main focus is to make tennis fun & enjoyable whilst improving all pupil’s skill sets. He always expect players to try their best & to make the most of their time on court.
