We have reinstated the Tuesday evening social tennis sessions for the spring and summer. These sessions are open to any club member over the age of 12. Players of any standard are welcome to turn up and play with others in our "mix and match" sessions. We change the format to suit numbers of players and what those players want to do. So, for example, if we have 6 players available on our 2 courts, 4 players can play a short set (4 or 5) games while 2 players play some singles games, or practice their shots together. The short sets means that there is a quick turnaround. If odd numbers mean that one or two people are sitting out, the short sets ensure that they are not sitting out for too long (typically 15 minutes at most). So we are always arranging play to suit people's preferences where possible and to ensure that everyone gets the chance to play as much tennis as possible.
The sessions run from 5pm to 7 or 8pm on Tuesday evenings throughout the spring and summer, through to the autumn, until the clocks go back. If you can't make Tuesday evenings, why not give our social sessions on Saturday or Sunday mornings a try?
