Loxford Park

Loxford Park is a large park that has a lot of mature trees and shrubs that provide a great habitat for wildlife and birds. It benefits from an old sunken garden that is popular with park users wishing to rest from walking. In January 2015 Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure worked in partnership with the charity Trees for Cities to plant an edible tree trail along the boundary of Loxford Park. All 30 trees planted were chosen for their edible features such as fruits, nuts, leaves or bark. As well as providing a source of food, as the trees mature they will become a prominent feature in the park landscape.

Facilities:

The park features 2 tennis courts, beach volleyball and football courts, an outdoor gym, a children’s play area, cricket pitches, football pitches, a multi-use games area, a skate park and a trim trail.
