Junior Coaching
We offer group coaching and individual coaching to all abilities.
INDIVIDUAL COACHING
This can be arranged at a time that suits you and prices start at £20 for 55 minutes. Prices vary depending on length of time and Level of coach. GROUP COACHING
We have two options for group coaching.
1) Midweek coaching programme - These sessions mirror the school term with no sessions being run during half terms and holidays. For these sessions we require committment for a whole term. This enables us to plan ahead and build a strong rapport with the children which helps maximise development. These sessiosn work out at £6.50 per session for members and £9.50 for non members. These sessions have a clear structure and a big focus on coaching and improving technique and the tactical side of the game.
2) Pay and Play Saturdays- Our fun session on a saturday is a perfect opportunity for you to give tennis a go for the first time or use if you can't commit to the midweek coaching programme. For this session the focus is very much on having fun and maximising how many balls the children get to hit. The focus isn't so much on coaching and more for the children to enjoy being on court in a fun and safe environment. We play lots of games and hope to instil a love for tennis that they want to keep coming back. These sessions cost £2 for non members and are FREE for Junior members of Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club. Membership for a year at Felixstowe Lawn Tennis club is definitely worth considering if you are attending saturdays reguarly. For children 10 and younger it is only £40 for the year and for 11-18 year olds it is £80. Included in this price is the saturday morning sessions but also your child is able to book a court for FREE to practice whenever your child wants.

Below is a copy of our current coaching timetable.
You will notice on some sessions there is a number 1,2 or 3 and this signifies the level for that session. Below is a brief description for each level:
3 - Children new to tennis and children working towards being able to rally to 10 consistently
2- For children who can rally to 10 consistently and have a good idea of the fundamental technique for forehands and backhands.
1- For children who can rally to 20 consistently , have a strong understanding of the fundamental techniques for groundstrokes , volleys and serves. they can play and score a match and are competing or on the bring of competing at tournaments.
Elite- For children who are competing in tournaments, they should be able to serve consistently and have a strong understanding of tactics within a point situation.
