Winter League 2022 Champions! 

Melrose 1s defeated Peebles 1s on Sunday 27 March at St Boswells. Our 1s made a quick start, winning the mens' doubles, before our ladies won a great doubles on a champs tie-break, to cement our lead going into the mixed matches. Peebles, as expected, put up a strong fight in the mixed but in the end Sophie and Johnny, Laura and Andy proved too strong and ran out convincing winners.

It was a great result for Melrose and means we now hold three of the four Borders mixed titles after our success in the Knockout Cup and the 40+ mixed league at the end of last season. Let’s hope this run of success gives confidence to our mens and ladies teams as we head into the doubles leagues. Let’s go!!!
