FAQs

Here are some questions we frequently get asked.

Q: Can I come to social as a non-member?

A: Social is an activity we run for our members. If you are thinking of joining as a member and would like to visit during social to try it out, please get in touch with us.

Q: When is social and how does it work?

A: Any member can turn up at social at any time. It happens on Tuesdays 12-3pm, Wednesdays 5pm til dark and Saturdays and Sundays 2-5pm. We all play doubles and mix in, so you'll never be waiting for long to get a game. Social never gets cancelled for bad weather; it's up to you whether you play in the rain! Although we do have to close the courts if they icy because we don't want anyone hurting themselves.

Q: Are there rackets available to borrow?

A: We do have some spare rackets in the clubhouse which you are welcome to try, but we make no guarantees about their availability or quality! If you are wanting to play regularly, we recommend getting your own racket.

Q: When do the 6 weeks of free beginners coaching happen?

A: Beginners coaching usually happens in May and June. We sometimes run it at other times in the year if there is demand for it.

Q: Can I book 1-1 coaching with a coach?

A: Anyone is welcome to approach a coach for individual coaching. More information about our coaches can be found on our coaching page.

Q: I want to book a court but they're showing as not available

A: We have two courts available to the public for booking weekdays between 9am and 4pm. Members can book all courts for weekdays, evenings and weekends. If you are not a member, courts will not appear bookable outside of weekday daytimes.
