Mens Ladder

The concept is simple: you challenge a person one or two above you on the ladder and if you win you take their place. The ladder is open to male members. At the end of each quarter (December 31st, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th) the current leader of the ladder will be declared and receive a prize.

  • You challenge a player one or two places above your place. If you win you take their place, if not you stay where you are on the ladder.
  • You arrange to play your opponent at a mutually agreed time; pease avoid playing matches during the Social Tennis sessions .
  • If you are unable to play the match within two weeks, a walkover is awarded to the challenger.
  • Matches should be best of three sets i.e. first to two sets wins.
  • Play short sets, played to four games, (e.g. won at 4-0, 4-1, 4-2, etc. At 4-3 the player with the advantage needs to win one more game to win the set (i.e. 5-3)>  At 4-4 a seven point tie break is played. .
  • Service games played as normal, with single point deuce and the receiver deciding which side to play.
  • The winner of the match sends the results to John Eary on WhatsApp who will maintain the ladder on this page.
