Newark Tennis Club was established in 1887. It is run by its members and is in the heart of the town. We have 4 all-weather courts and 2 grass courts and as we are expanding and increasing our membership year on year we are looking at refurbishing and adding more courts to the site. We have a warm and welcoming club house on site and have the use of Sherwood Avenue courts for floodlit tennis during the winter months.
Newark Tennis Club has a lot to offer our members with different membership packages available to suit all types of players. We offer adult and junior coaching, cardio tennis and a wealth of opportunity for social tennis, whether you're a daytime or evening player. We also have a competitive side, as well as organising and hosting our own tournaments we have teams that play in various leagues across Nottinghamshire.
Membership
We are a welcoming club with players of all ages and abilities and offer group and private coaching and social play during the day and in the evenings. We also have competitive tennis within the club and have men's, ladies and mixed teams in various Nottinghamshire leagues.
