About Us
Newman Collard Tennis Club is based in Newman Collard Park in Liss near Petersfield and was formed in 1969 after a group of tennis enthusiasts asked if they could take over the management of the courts which lay unused and in need of some TLC.
50 years later, in 2019 the club celebrated its Golden Anniversary year by being shortlisted in the EHDC Sports Awards for “Club of the Year” and winning two Hants and Isle of Wight LTA Celebration of Tennis awards, including ”Club of the Year”
However, we're not a big club and we're not an elite club. We’re just a small, family-friendly, village club and there are plenty of reasons why you should come and join us:
- Never played tennis and want to give it a go?
- Last played 10 years ago and want to do it again?
- Kids starting to learn and think you should join in?
- Want a new way of staying fit?
We welcome new members and there are opportunities for all ages and standards to play. We have club mix in sessions throughout the week, family tennis and fun tournaments throughout the year. We also enter a number of teams in the local leagues.
