Following the club’s AGM in October and discussions within the new committee, the Club is in the process of finalising membership packages and pay-and-play prices for 2025.
Monthly Subscriptions
In the 2024 the club introduced the option of paying for Adult and Family memberships via a monthly subscription. This option will continue to be available in 2025 as large one-off payments for adult and family packages can be seen as a barrier to some.
12 Month Date of joining Package
The club year runs from 1st April and the club has traditionally offered annual membership packages that run from 1st April to 31st March the following year.
New members joining mid-way through the year have paid a pro-rota price. In 2025 the Club will be introducing on a trial basis a 12 month package that runs from the date of joining. This means that a new members joining in June 2025 will renew in June 2026. Similarly a new member joining in September 2025 will renew in September 2026.
It is hoped that this change will help encourage and retain new members who join later in the year.
Existing members will be unaffected.
Pay and Play prices
The AGM and committee have also discussed booking options for non-members (pay-and-play). Pay-and-play users will continue to be able to book any court at any time outside of club sessions, tournaments and matches. The cost of pay-and-play will increase in 2025 to £5.00 for 30 minutes. The minimum booking period will be increased to one hour with a maximum booking period of two hours.
Prior to 2022/23 pay-and-play prices had not increased for a number of years. This increase still represents great value compared to other similar sized clubs offering this pay-and-play to non-members.
