Throughout the year the club runs events. They include one day events, Round Robin and Ladder challenges. Check below to see current competitions.

One new tennis event is now running from November 2024 - March 2025

• Open singles Ladder Challenge (this is a combined ladder for ladies and men) entry currently open

Ladder Rules, open to all adult members.

• Challenge players who are 1 or 2 places higher than you on the ladder.
• Once a challenge has been set no other challenge can be taken on until the match has been played and the results entered.
• The day and time of any match should be convenient for both players. The challenged player must play the match within 14 days of the challenge or give a default.
• Matches are the best of 3 sets, with a normal tie break played for first two sets (if applicable). The last set however is played as a Championship tie brake, i.e. a short set the first to 10 points with a 2 point lead.
• The losing player must wait 14 days before re-challenging the same player.
• If any player doesn't turn up for an arranged match, the other player wins by default.
• Trial new rule - men to have one serve rather than two for each point played when playing the ladies 
• Match result. Please update Ladder board in club shed (court 2). Take photo of new ladder and upload to WhatsApp chat, so all players are up to date with results.
• Any player forfeiting twice will automatically drop to the lowest position on the ladder.
• The challenger is responsible for checking court availability and booking appropriately, as well as supplying the balls.
• Anyone wishing to enter please contact Charlotte. You can enter at any stage however you will be added to the bottom of the ladder now the initial draw has been done.
