The winners of this year's Team Tournament : Martyn, Jane, Keith, Andrew, Sophie. 

This year we had 5 teams with 5 players in each team. This is always a really fun tournament involving lots of club members of all standards. The captains were able to choose who to put forward to play the singles and the two doubles pairs, leading to some very tactical decisions. All the matches were the best of 13 games with sudden death deuces, which ensured thrilling and competitive play throughout.

The teams that made it to the final were captained by Nilesh Sojitra (team E) and Sophie Stack (team A). The first match was the doubles with Jane Anderson and Andrew Jones (team A) playing against James Boross and Dave Manning (team E). Both pairs showed incredible skill and determination throughout the match, which couldn't have been closer. In a thrilling finish, Jane and Andrew just managed to secure victory with a final score of 7-6.

Next up was the singles where Kelly Hadjisavvas (team A) played Martyn Bassington (team E). Both are excellent singles players, and we were treated to lots of exciting rallies. Despite Kelly's strong performance, Martyn went on to win the match with a final score of 8-5.

The last match was the second doubles, featuring Sophie and Keith Glazebrook (team A) against Nilesh Sojitra and Keith Johnson-Ray (team E). Team A needed to win 5 games to secure the overall victory, but they comfortably won with a margin of 4 games, finishing the match with a score of 9-4.
