About the club
Northwood Lawn Tennis Club is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Frithwood Avenue.
We have four courts which were resurfaced with Tigerturf Advantage Pro and fitted with new floodlights in spring 2017. These are available for play all year round until 10pm. Our clubhouse has changing facilities with showers, a fitted kitchen, a fully licensed bar and also a table tennis table.
We have social mix-in tennis sessions four times a week so you don't need to worry about having a partner, just turn up and play. These sessions are free for members (a small fee applies for guests) and take place throughout the year on Tuesday evenings (6.30-9pm), Friday evenings (6.30 - 9pm), Saturday afternoons (1.30 -4pm) and Sunday mornings (10.30-12.30).
Members can also arrange their own games at most other times.
We have a dedicated coaching team with a wealth of experience providing individual and group lessons as well as cardio tennis. For more information please go to our coaching pages or www.sgtennis.co.uk
We also take part in league matches, internal club tournaments (summer and winter) and we hold regular social events where members and guests enjoy a spread of home cooked food and drinks from the bar.
The back gate of the club leads directly into Frithwood Park which has activities for children such as climbing frames, obstacles, swings and slides etc.
