OFFLEY TENNIS CLUB OPEN DAY 2017
There was a big turnout for the OTC Open Day on Saturday 6th May, with lots of people dropping by. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable day.
There were lots of activities for folk to take part in. ORC and the Fishing Club, kept everyone fed and watered throughout the day. Dougie’s hamburgers and hot dogs were delicious. Tricia, Debbie and Mo’s fabulous cakes went down a treat too.
The courts were busy all day. Club coaches uPlay Sports ran ‘taster’ sessions on Court 1. Lots of adults and juniors joined in and picked up a few hints and tips along the way. On Court 2, people dusted off their rackets and enjoyed a game or two of tennis. It has to be said, there were some spectacular shots played!
Children spent the day having fun on Premier Castles bouncy slide, eating candy floss and having their face painted. And local crafts where in abundance too, thanks to Jo’s loaves and Primose Cottage’s beautiful decorative wreaths.
The highlight of the day was the Offley Endowed Primary School painting competition prize giving. Pupils’ paintings were on display at the club house for all to see. Mrs Peck and the OTC Committee did the honours and presented prizes to the winners. Well done everyone!
It was a fantastic day and we look forward to seeing you again at our next OTC event.
