Box league rules and regulations
Every season each player has to play every player in their box. So 3 matches it is up to each of you to organise your own matches and contact them using the facebook group , alternatly contact me and i will help you contact them if your having trouble.
Do not sit back and wait for others to contact you be proactive. After each match is played it is the responsibility of the winner to post the result and score within 5 days. Please supply a match result as this is a good way of keeping interest levels in the box league high.
The format of the matches and the scoring system is as follows and cannot be deviated from under any circumstances :-
- Best of 3 sets ( if one player wins the first 2 sets no need for a third set
- Tie break ( to 7 ) played if score is 6-6 in games in a set
- Third set is played as a champions tie break ( to 10 )
- 1 point to each player for playing the fixture
- 1 point for each set won
Please be aware to win a tie break one player must be 2 points clear eg 7-5 or 11-9 for a champions tie break. Please remember that this box league is all about getting our members to meet each other and play more competitive tennis. On this basis please take responsibility for arranging and playing your matches on time and adhering to the few administrative requirements i have outlined above.
There is no extensions to any season so please arrange and play your matches early because our weather is unpredictable.
