We are delighted to welcome Mary Mitchell to the Club Committee as Club Secretary.

Mary is a late-comer to tennis having been coached by Eduardo for the last two years, and she joined Old Basing Tennis Club just one year ago. She loves the game and feels very lucky to be learning new skills and hopes to be increasingly involved in the club activities in the years to come. 

In her pre-retirement life she worked for decades in the NHS as a Child  Psychiatrist, subsequently in private practice and more recently in schools’ mental health in the independent sector.

Mary likes to keep busy developing her garden, playing tennis, portrait painting, hiking and helping out with her two grandchildren ages 5 and 2. She likes to travel too especially to her favourite destination in Cyprus as much as possible.

Mary is looking forward to meeting fellow members and hoping for a nice, warm, dry and windless summer.
