Following the recent power washing of the courts by our contractors, ETC, the club received high praise from our Account Manager about the condition and quality of the courts.
Nigel Hatt, the Club Chairman, wrote to all the volunteers to thank them for their help in maintaining the courts since 2021 when they were resurfaced.
Nigel wrote:
Hi everyone,
Now that the Winter Court Maintenance Programme has been concluded I would like, on behalf of the Committee, to thank each one of you for giving up your time to look after our courts during the winter months. You have done a great job and your efforts are very much appreciated. I was at the Club just recently and the courts look magnificent.
I am delighted to say that our Maintenance Contractor, ETC, has also congratulated us on the quality of our courts following the annual power washing exercise that has been completed. Our account manager, Rory, said:
"I cannot believe how good the condition of the courts are with this summer marking over 5 years’ of usage. I generally believe this is down to great housekeeping from the club, along with the annual cleaning of the courts, something I have continued to “swear by” not just with yourselves but with all our clients.
I believe that, providing maintenance continues, you are likely to get a further 5 years from your surface at a minimum, but I’m sure we can get even more years from it. It is likely that you will need a bind and colourspray at some point but again, this isn’t likely to be needed for the immediate future. It could be that this is completed in years 8-9 and then you get up to years 12-15 without a resurface…with a design life of 8-10 years, this is a great result!"
I think the comments Rory makes regarding the longevity of our courts are most encouraging and this is down to the hard work that each one of you has put in to keep them in such good shape.
Very well done and thank you once again for supporting the Club in such a valuable way.
Best wishes,
Nige
