Monday and Tuesday night socials

After the previous messages on the subject and the committee meeting on Monday 23rd September, the committee has decided to go ahead with replacing Monday and Tuesday club nights with new versions. These will be on a trial basis and will be reviewed in the new year. Invites to the new groups will go out in the next couple of days based on whether you've registered interest. These are not drop in sessions but members can ask to be considered. Each session will have a senior club member organising it.

These sessions are changing to give members more opportunities to play and improve, and they are supposed to be fun. If you have any concerns on the evening please raise it with the club member running the session or with the club chairman.

The old WhatsApp groups for organising will be archived and new ones with relevant members will be created. The calendar on the booking system will be updated as well

Mondays 6pm - 9pm / Improvers and Intermediates

Starting 7th October

An invitational, mixed ability session aimed at lower league teams and players wanting to improve. Advanced players are welcome but improvers are the focus. No limit on numbers but you should say whether you can attend each session via WhatsApp.

The first 30 - 60 mins will be drills and tips led by a more senior member of the club and is open to suggestions and feedback from players. The remainder of the session will be split into match play but it will be organised by ability by a senior member of the club. This is so that everyone can get a fair match and put the things they are learning into practice. We believe that this mix of abilities, if organised correctly, can give members a chance to hone their skills and improve.

If players would only prefer to come to the drills or the match play that can be arranged but needs to be communicated to the group.

Tuesdays 6pm - 9pm / Advanced

Starting 15th October

An invitational, advanced ability session aimed at higher league players. This is a friendly but more competitive session at a more advanced level. No limit on numbers but you should say whether you can attend each session via WhatsApp. The first 30 - 60 mins will be drills and tips led by a senior member of the club and is open to suggestions and feedback from players. The remainder of the session will be split into match play. This may be randomised or selected based on the players who are there on the night, for example if partners from the same team are there they may request to be paired for additional practice.
