Tournament Schedule for 2026

The dates for this years tournaments are:

Sun 12th April 10:00am Social Tournament

Sun 10th May 10:00am Social Tournament

Sun 7th June 11:00 am Oswestry Community Games tournament for local businesses

Sun 12th July 10:00am Wooden Rackets Tournament

Sun 16th Aug 10:00 am Soacil tournament

Sun 27 Sept 10:00am Club Finals Day

Members will soon receive an  email inviting them to enter  in this years ladder and knock out tournaments with matches being played throughout the summer.

Finals day  for  2025 was held on Sunday 21st September.

The finalists  for the singles was a repeat of 2024, Matt Grice and Gary Edwards (pictured above), with Matt winning the contest.

This was followed by the mens, ladies and mixed doubles finals.

Club Tournaments

The club hold regular social tournaments throughout the year as well as more competitive events.

OTC competitive tournaments  are :

• Mixed Doubles Handicap

• Ladies Doubles Handicap

• Mixed Singles Ladder

• Ladies Singles Ladder

These are friendly (but more competitive) tournaments for club members which culminate in a club Finals Day.

Mixed Doubles Handicap 

The is a popular competition open to all members, both senior and junior. The partners for the event are drawn , handicaps determined and the timetable of matches set before the start. 

Ladies Doubles  Handicap

This competition has a similar format as the Mixed doubles above, but when entries are low, is run as a round robin rather than knockout.

Singles Ladders

The club runs  singles ladders each year which gives members the chance to organise as many single matches as they want during the summer with the top  players playing in final matches at the end of the summer to determine the  champions.

Gary Edwards and Dave Bass are the organisers for all of these tournaments and  members will receive emails to identify levels of interest.
