The May Social Tournament was enjoyed by 18 members on a glorious Sunday morning.

There was enough time for four mini matches each over the 2 hour allocated time. 

Early impressive scoring from Rose Butler and James Kiel set the way but late rallies by David Parry and Chris Smith saw them advance to the final for the men's category and strong play by junior member Maisie Anderson saw her join Rose in the final for the ladies category.

So it was David and Maisie v Chris and Rose to play out the final and it proved to be a very closely fought game. On a first to 4 games challenge Chris and Rose raced to a 3-1 lead but David and Maisie brought it back to 3-3 before Maisie served out the deciding game to take victory with David.

The next Social Tournament will be held on Sunday 9th June as part of the Oswestry Community Games initiative when we will be inviting our friends at Oswestry Team Tennis to join us.
