Peebles Lawn Tennis Club Annual Dinner

Members from Peebles Lawn Tennis Club attended their annual dinner and prize giving recently in the Crown Hotel, Peebles.

Prize winners from 2016 were:

Men’s singles: Sean Berthelson

Ladies singles: Hilary Legg

Men’s Doubles: Gordon McLean & Martin Jeffrey

Ladies Doubles: Joanne Cassidy & Anne McKinnon

Mixed Doubles: Graeme Kirkpatrick & Anne McKinnon

2016 was a successful year for the club including winning Division One of the Men’s Tennis Borders League for 3 years in a row.

2017 is also a big year, as the club is currently raising funds to replace 3 of the blaes courts with a new all-weather surface. This will greatly extend the availability of playing time as the present courts frequently flood following periods of rain. New floodlighting is also planned and, hopefully, the provision of new disabled access facility and toilets.
