New Court Work has Started!
The trees are down and the main contractors have started on site! The work should be finished by the middle of November when there will be 3 new hard courts with top of the range LED lighting. Meanwhile the 2 back courts remain available for play - enter through Victoria Park.

The courts renewal project is getting closer. 3 tenders have been received and we hope the work will start in early September if all the funding is confirmed. We are discussing a separate project for disabled access to the clubhouse and toilets along with improvements to the veranda and extended viewing areas. More details to follow in due course.

Read moreCourt Update January 2017
The blaes court replacement project is making progress with 25% of the total cost secured from Landfill, Peebles Common Good Fund and club funds. We have applications in with Sport Scotland and the LTA for the remainder of the funding and should hear by the end of February. Planning permission is in for the courts, fencing and lighting and we expect to hear from the planning department soon.

Progress has been made with our funding applications with £25,000 approved from Landfill and £10,000 from The Common Good Fund. Our application to Sport Scotland for £100,000 has progressed to the final stage and the LTA/Tennis Scotland application looks promising (£24,000 grant & £25,000 loan).

Despite a wet forecast, the rain stayed away and players and spectators enjoyed a great afternoon of tennis on Saturday. Spectators and players enjoyed a barbecue with Pimms and soft drinks and some lovely home baking and tablet. Congratulations to all winners and runners up. Read on to see who won!
