Courts Project Update 12/06/17

The courts renewal project is now getting closer.

We have received confirmation of funds from Sport Scotland and are currently awaiting final confirmation of Grant/Loan money from LTA/Sport Scotland . (We have had verbal indications that this money will be forthcoming)

4 tender documents were issued to contractors and 3 have been received. The cheapest one is within our funding budget, so this is good news. Labosports are evaluating the tenders at the moment and we are awaiting their response.

Once all funding is confirmed, we should be in a position to issue a contract to the successful tendering company.

The project is, currently, planned for start in early September and should last for around 2 months, so the blaes courts will not be available at this time.

The Committee are currently discussing a separate project for the provision of a disabled ramp access, including extending the “veranda” to include a seating area, plus upgrading in the clubhouse for disabled toilet facilities, new windows etc. Further information will be provided in due course once draft plans have been produced.
