Peter Evans - Head Coach, LTA Level 3 Accredited+

I began my coaching journey with international experiences, working in Boca Raton (South Florida), Barcelona, and multiple clubs in Bristol. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching juniors competing at national and ITF levels. Today, I specialise in development tennis, focusing on helping juniors and adults at club level enhance their skills and passion for the game.

As an Avon County Coach, I work closely with Avon Tennis to create a clear pathway for juniors, supporting their progression from club level to county and beyond. In recognition of my efforts, I was honoured to receive the Avon Development Coach of the Year award for 2019/2020.

Since September 2022, I have been leading the Coaching Programme and team at Chippenham Tennis Club. I am committed to fostering an open and inclusive environment, providing more opportunities for everyone to enjoy and thrive in the sport.

Proud member of the Chippenham Men’s A team, playing in the Wiltshire league's 1st division. I’ve also won multiple club championships in Singles and Doubles.

Conor Mckeigue - Senior Coach, LTA Level 2

I have been playing tennis since I was 15 & have been passionate about the sport from the start.  I started off by helping at my local tennis club (Woodlands, Hanham) & enjoyed it so much that I went on to do my Level 1 & 2 tennis coaching qualification.   My favourite shot to play  is the Volley.   It's great to see how much both children & adults benefit & enjoy tennis.  I hope to see you all on the court soon to share my love of this sport.

Ben Owen - Lead Coach, LTA Level 2

Ben achieved his LTA level 1 coaching award in 2022 and is enjoying being part of the team. His passion for coaching is growing all the time, which he is positively demostrating in his coaching delivery.

He plays at a great level including when he trained as a county junior and now he is starting his first season in the Men's league team for Chippenham TC

Claire Nutt - Lead Coach, LTA Level 2

I was first inspired to coach tennis when I trained with Judy Murray as a tennis activator for She Rallies, this developed into me working with within schools and also with local community groups.  I progressed into completing my L1 & L2 coaching qualifications with my passion being inspiring and keeping individuals enjoying the sport and ensuring accessibility for all. I am a tennis mum to 2 children who are part of the county squads and I also volunteer at county tennis level and at major tennis events.

In 2023, Claire was voted as County Volunteer of the year by the LTA, she then won the Regional caterogy and presented the award at the Queens ATP event before being a National finalist for the award.
