Summer Update

Hello all,

September Programme

I hope you are all having a great Summer. As some of you have already seen the September programme went up on the website last week, plenty of spaces for the term and a couple of new groups so please email me if you have any questions.

We have two more weeks of camps left which have plenty of space still and a new LTA Youth course starting in September as well.  Saturday morning pay and play along with Friday morning drills will also be restarting in September.

The week of the 29th August-5th September there will be no drills. If you are allowing your child to cycle to tennis you need to email Jono with a confirmation that you are happy for this, too many children have arrived to coaching alone recently without a guardian consent.

 Cotswold Show

This weekend, 14th and 15th August is the Cotswold Show. There will be extra traffic in the general area so while the Club remains open it may be wise to avoid driving if at all possible as there will be congestion. Saturday drills are taking a break for the day. Our access road will be open as usual and will not be used by the show traffic as a separate exit route has been planned.

Stroud Rd Resurfacing

From Monday 16th August the Stroud Rd will be closed for two weeks from 7pm until 7am for resurfacing from the Tetbury roundabout all the way to the Coates junction. We have agreed with Gloucs Highways that access will be allowed from the roundabout in the evenings until midnight.

Access Road Issues

I am fully aware of the issues with the access road, I don't even bother attempting to go home for lunch as I may get stuck getting in and out of the club. The club are working tirelessly to make the road safer. We are still being approached by the estate re the speeding of cars to and from tennis and cricket. We are working closely with them to try and address the current issues with the access road and it doesn't help our case when we get reports of cars going faster than 10mph. So please respect this and even if you are running late do not go faster than 10mph as we will not leave until your child is picked up.

If the electronic gate is in use when you come to coaching please remember the code is 1919.

Kind regards,

Jono and team
