Using the floodlights

The floodlight meter for courts 1 and 2  is  inside of the clubhouse's external toilet on a shelf on your left as you enter.

The floodlight meters for courts 3 and 4 are now located  in weatherproof cabinets  beyond court 3.

The floodlights can be used  any day up to 2200 hours.

When using the floodlights for courts 3 and 4, please read the instructions for use carefully. Both set of lights must NOT be switched on at the same time, you must leave 90 seconds between them. Incorrect usage will cause them to trip requiring someone to come out and reset them. Instructions are by the cabinets. You may need a torch.

Tokens for the floodlights are available from the village shop and from some members of the committee. A token costs £2.50 and lasts for 30 minutes on courts 3 or 4 and 20 minutes on courts 1&2  which are lit together.

For uninterrupted play DO NOT LET THE LIGHTS GO OUT.  If following on from someone else, consider arriving in time to feed the meter before the lights go out.

If the lights go out as the token has run out, the lights will not come back on again for several minutes (approx 10 minutes for courts 3&4, a little less for 1&2). If you put a token in too soon, the meter will count down but the  lights will not come on straight away.

You can feed the meter at any time while the lights are on, so there is no need to put several tokens in at once if you are concerned for the weather or your fitness!

Floodlights tokens will be supplied  for the wednesday club session.
