Kate Maurici

Kate is a former Barrister and Senior Government lawyer. She now heads up Maurici Tennis. She is an LTA Level 3 Accredited+ coach and has extensive experience of developing parks tennis venues and has won previous LTA awards for best Community Venue.  She is also the Surrey County Training coach for the 8U girls  and 9U girls. Kate is passionate about encouraging and retaining girls in the sport and persuading more women to become coaches. Kate is an LTA local Referee, and runs many recreational and inclusive events which are open and accessible to all. Kate is also a Councillor on the Surrey Tennis Council. 

 

Clare Knowles - Lead Coach at The QCF Bishop's Park Community Club

Clare is an LTA Level 3 Accredited+ coach with nine years coaching experience. She has worked at the Bank of England Sports Centre, Raynes Park Residents Lawn Tennis Club and Sheen Parks Tennis, coaching all ages from beginner to intermediate club players. She has also helped to train and support The Ball Kids team at the ATP End of Year Finals at The London O2 for the last six years. Clare loves encouraging everyone to enjoy the process of learning to play tennis and to learn to embrace the challenges that players meet on court.  Clare is enormously popular at our Bishop's Park sessions and also helps at lots of our events.

Sam Kimpton - Assistant Coach

Sam is an LTA Level 1 Assistant and is about to progress to take his LTA Level 2 Intructor qualification. He has been working in the tennis industry since the age of 1, starting work on the grounds team at Thames Ditton and how has been on the grounds team at The Queen's Club for 7 years.  He plays regularly at his home club of Thames Ditton.  Sam is an incredibly passionate member of the Community Tennis team and assists on the Sunday morning sessions at the Club as well as at our events.
