We're running a tournament (again!)
The Ramsey Open Tennis Championship - Saturday 21 June 2025
We're back for the second outing of our small tournament which is open to members of the club, former members, members of other clubs and anyone else who plays tennis and wants to compete. It's mixed doubles only and we have space for up to 12 pairs.
The format will be round robin followed by 3rd place playoffs, semis and a final so all players should be guaranteed at least 5 matches (Fast4 format) if we are full, with a maximum of 7 matches. Please see the player pack and registration form (link attached below) which explains what and how but it's quite a lot to cram into one day so let's hope for some good weather as we will need all the courts.
Entry is £10 per person and the winning pair will receive a £50 voucher each with the runner up pair receiving a £20 voucher each.
The mixed doubles competition will be played for the Rachel Wicks Memorial Trophy. Rachel was a member of the club who tragically died from a brain injury and we think this will be a great way to remember her love of playing competitive tennis.
The event is subject to viability and is weather permitting on the day and may also be affected in the run up. We reserve the right to amend the format etc and further details are in the player pack (link below) and the registration form which can be requested by email from Geoff Sayer, below.
