We're running a tournament!

The Ramsey Open Tennis Championship - Saturday 31 August 2024

This is a small tournament for members of the club, former members, members of other clubs and anyone who wants to compete.  We're hoping to run the following competitions:

• Mixed Doubles (16 pairs)
• Ladies Singles (16 players)
• Mens Singles (16 players)

Please see the player pack and registration form (link attached below) which explains what and how but it's quite a lot to cram into one day so let's hope for some good weather as we will need all the courts.

There is an initial limit on entry to four players/pairs per competition, per club (including Ramsey) but from 10 August 2024  anyone can register without any limits.  Don't let that prevent you signing up now, because if you applied early and were the fifth or more entrant you will be put on a reserve list which we will go through first on that date.  Oh, and you don't pay until you're in!

Entry is £10 per person and the winners of each competition will receive a £50 voucher.  Due to  court congestion and logistics players can only enter one competition so either singles or mixed doubles, not both.  The event is weather permitting on the day and if it is wet in the run up then we will run Mixed Doubles only (as the astro courts will be too slippery).

The mixed doubles competition will be played for the Rachel Wicks Memorial Trophy.  Rachel was a member of the club who tragically died from a brain injury and we think this will be a great way to remember her love of playing competitive tennis.
