Ravenscroft Lawn Tennis Club

We are delighted to have 40+ enthusiastic juniors either as members or attending coaching sessions at RLTC.

In 2025 we will be organising a junior tournament and other events to encourage more juniors to play.

Jack Petchey Achievement Award 

At Ravenscroft LTC we are proud to be involved in the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, which recognises young people aged 11-25 in London and Essex for their achievements and efforts, not just academic ones. Winners receive a certificate, a medallion, and a £250 or £300 grant, which they decide how to spend to benefit the tennis club. Awards are often peer-nominated and celebrate a wide range of accomplishments including personal growth, commitment and hard work or contributing to the community. In the past our worthy winners have used their grant to buy equipment to benefit junior players at the club.

With this year's grant we celebrated our juniors with a Jack Petchey funded juniors' tournament organised by our coach, Steve, on Sunday 19th October. Twenty juniors took part in a great afternoon of tennis, table tennis and pool with pizza! They showed great resilience in the rain which failed to stop play or dampen our juniors' enthusiasm for tennis.
