It has been a great start for the Men's team having so far played 4 matches with 2 more to come. This season is classed as 'friendly', as there are no promotions and relegations and we have a reduced amount of matches to play where the team only play other clubs once, usually it is home and away.
Thus far 13 (unlucky for some) different men have played at least one match, with Redbourn winning three and losing one. We started out with excellent victories against Bovingdon B (8-1) and St Albans C (7-2). Special thanks for James Booth for being captain in the St Albans match and special mention to debutant Nigel Dallow for remaining unbeaten in his first 6 matches in the team, and partner Tim Moss!
Next to a tough match away at Cassiobury C, where Mike Minchin as captain encountered very strong opposition at his old club, Redbourn losing 8-1. The fourth match the team returned to winning ways with an 8-1 victory against Langley B.
The final two matches will, weather permitting, be played in August.
If you are interested in playing in the team in the 2022 season or being part of the Monday night practice session, please contact Tim Moss or Paul Jewell.
