RTC Club Information

We are delighted to welcome new members to the club, just in case you haven't yet received your welcome letter you can see a copy here

From 17th May England enters a new phase of reduced lockdown measures. This mean that we can enjoy more freedom to safely socially interact with members outside before and after games. We do not have sufficient internal space to open up the clubhouse for general use yet. The new rules that we will follow from May 17th are:-

  • Courts must be pre-booked on the booking system.
  • All player names must be recorded on the booking system.
  • Hand sanitiser should be used before and after using the entrance gates
  • Sensible social distancing is encouraged when chatting outside with members before and after games.
  • All courts are open and avaiable for play
  • Players may decide amongst themselves whether they are happy to share tennis balls. We will contine with members bringing balls for mix ins because of the number of interactions involved and the fairness of tennis ball provision!
  • Visitors must sign and return a visiting player agreement.
  • Coaching can take place with a current maximum of 16 players across two courts. This is significantly less than LTA guidelines and will be reviewed from time to time to assess its effectiveness.
  • The clubhouse will remain closed to members except during activities supervised by the coaches when the toilet may be used following hygiene protocols agreed with the coaches
  • External social activities for up to 30 people at the club are permitted

The new LTA guidelines can be found here here

Up until May 17th RTC is openand has the same "rule of six guidelines that were operated before Christmas. This means:-

  • Courts must be pre-booked on the booking system.
  • All player names must be recorded on the booking system.
  • Hand sanitiser should be used before and after using the entrance gates
  • Social distancing must be observed at all times especially before and after the game.
  • Adjacent court doubles play is permitted but players should not at any time stray onto the neighbouring court. If in any doubt a let should be played.
  • If you do not feel safe playing adjacent to another doubles game please advise [email protected] and we will reserve the adjacent court
  • Players are recommended to serve using their own marked balls .
  • Visitors must sign and return a visiting player agreement.
  • Coaching can take place with a current maximum of 8 players across two courts. This is significantly less than LTA guidelines and will be reviewed from time to time to assess its effectiveness.
  • The clubhouse will remain closed to members except during activities supervised by the coaches when the toilet may be used following hygiene protocols agreed with the coaches
