Fundraising update

 

The popularity of our new tiger turf courts has prompted the club to look at proactive fundraising activities with the goal of raising a further £5,000 over the next six months to allow us to replace courts 3 and 4 in the same way this autumn.

The newly formed social and fundraising subcommittee have taken on this challenge and are working on a series of activities and events that are intended to be social, fun and importantly help us to achieve this target.

 

We hope that this is something that all club members will support and that there is something in the following list for everyone. We are also open to other suggestions and ideas!

Quality Sports Clothes Sale

Thurs June 15th 6pm-8pm at the Club House
During May we are asking for donations of clean, quality sports/outdoor clothes and/or equipment that is suitable for resale. Time to dig out those unworn Nike tops, Sweaty Betty leggings or outgrown sports equipment. Please hand any donations to a member of the social committee.

 

The Sports Clothing and Equipment Rematch

July 1st 10-4pm – on the Common

We will be looking for volunteers to help run a RTC stand on the common as part of Active in Redbourn to publicise the club to new members, run some mini tennis games and generate some funds. Further information to follow on items for the stall.

 

Quirky Quiz Night

July 1st 7.30 – Centenary room, Redbourn Village Hall

£10 per ticket to include cheese and charcuterie board per table

Come and join us for a raucous quiz night with a difference. Hosted by the legendary Will Cameron whose eminently corruptible style means that anyone can win this quiz…as long as the price is right!
Bring spare pound coins for bribery and money for the bar.

End of Season Tennis Party

November 18th 7.30 – Redbourn Village Hall

Tickets £37.50

The RTC event of the year! Price includes delicious meal, band, raffle and much more. Tickets to be released to members and guests on July 3rd on a first come first served basis.

Ongoing Fundraisers

 

RTC Lottery

The RTC Lottery is drawn every month. 50% of the funds are distributed as cash prizes and the other 50% goes directly towards our tiger turf fund.


Participation costs £5.00 per month payable annually in advance. Open to family and friends and new participants for this year are able to join until September 2023. Rounding up your tab

Over the course of the year there will be a variety of occasions when we are chipping in to pay for tournaments, match teas etc at rates that simply recoup costs. If those who feel able could consider rounding up or adding an optional donation here and there to the club account, this would soon add up and help us achieve our target.
