Olivia heads to US College

It’s been ten years since Olivia Sibbering first walked into Redhill, and the club has watched in awe as she has grown and developed both on and off the court.

Olivia began her tennis journey with Head Coach Dave at just four years old, and she hasn’t looked back since. By the age of seven, she had joined Redhill Tennis Club and quickly became a familiar face — taking lessons, practising her serve for hours, hitting with fellow members, winning club competitions, and proudly representing the club in team matches.

At just 16, Olivia qualified as a coach and has been a valued part of the coaching team ever since, regularly assisting with group sessions and inspiring the next generation of players.

Redhill has always been more than just a tennis club. For Olivia, it has provided lifelong friendships and a supportive community alongside the challenges of competitive tennis.

Now, she’s taking the next exciting step in her journey, heading to the United States to attend the University of Illinois. There, she’ll compete full-time while studying for her degree — and who knows where that path may lead.

Everyone at Redhill Tennis Club wishes Olivia every success and looks forward to hearing all about her adventures when the semester ends. And no doubt, before long, she’ll be back hitting balls in RH1. Above is a very young Olivia pictured with Joe Salisbury who knows a thing or two about international tennis!
