Members are asked to read this information on joining the club and annually thereafter, and to follow the Safeguarding processes when attending the club and reporting Safeguarding concerns.
Safeguarding Policy Statement for Ropley Tennis Club
Ropley Tennis Club recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children (anyone under 18) and adults at risk. We are committed to ensuring our safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and with LTA standards.
We are committed to prioritising the well-being of children and adults at risk and providing a safe and welcoming environment where they are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children and adults at risk receive effective support and protection.

Welfare Officer
Gavin Henderson is the Club Welfare Office and an active club member.
If you have any concerns/questions about Safeguarding or need to report a safeguarding Issue, all safeguarding concerns will be dealt with confidentially.

Phone numbers should be included in emails to the Welfare Officers for a call back.
In Gavin's absence please complete the LTA's online concern form.
How to Raise a Concern
Refer to LTA Reporting a Concern Flowchart which can be found in our Safeguarding Policy
If a child or an adult at risk is in immediate danger or risk of harm, the police should be contacted by calling 999. Where a child or an adult at risk is not in immediate danger, any concerns about their well-being should be made without delay to:
- Ropley Welfare Officer, Gavin Henderson
- Police if in immediate danger or risk of harm Call 999
