Monday Evening Social Tennis

'Club Night' - from 5.30pm onwards every Monday evening.
Our Club Night is a friendly evening of tennis.

Format:

• Depending on numbers; short rubbers of five games duration with plenty of rotation.

• Court allocation drawn at random at the start of every round.

• An opportunity to play against a wide variety of abilities, styles and experience levels in an informal atmosphere.

• Matches may be expanded as the evening moves on and people start to leave.

• Takes place every Monday and continues throughout the winter months under the floodlights.

Open to all members; as well as new players as a 'taster' session.

-- American Mixed Doubles --

Twice every month, our Club Night features an American Mixed Doubles tournament.
This is a friendly variation on the social tennis setup and usually takes place on the first two Mondays of the month; from 6.00pm onwards. 

Format:

• Short mixed doubles rubbers consisting of four gamaes with your partner and four alongside the opposite partner.

• Thus, an opportunity to score between zero and eight points in each round; depending on the number of individual games won.

• Numbers are usually restricted to 16 participants. This means there will be five rounds of matches played with nobody needing to sit off.

• Pairings are decided in advance to try and ensure a reasonable spread of ability; so in the first instance, newcomers will be allocated a good player as a partner.

Open to all members

A great opportunity for fun, social tennis at the weekend .

These sessions run on Sunday mornings all year round unless the dates clash with Junior League Tennis, please check the 'Booking' page in advance.
