Members of Ryde Mead enjoyed two fun rounds of golf at Brown's Pitch and Putt, one round on the putting green and another on the larger pitch and putt course. Eighteen players took part in the competition, raising a total of £130. This money will be split, and so Brown's earned £43, Ryde Mead LTC earned £43, Ryde Mead Charity will receive a donation of £22 and the Hampshire and Sussex Trust will receive a donation of £22.
Playing into the sunset, members had a lot of fun as they encountered the challenging greens and tested their golf skills to the max!
Combining the scores of the larger Pitch and Putt course and the shorter putting course, the overal winner was Lee Matthews, scoring 96. In second place was Tony Stapeley, scoring 99, and in third place was Charlie Stapeley, scoring 100. Overall best female player was Jane Howells with a score of 101. Unfortunately, somebody had to win the wooden spoon prize, and this went to Grainne Andrews with an overall score of 136.
Thank you to all who took part in this fantastic event, and many thanks to David Sanders for organising it.
