At SHG Tennis, we are passionate about making tennis accessible, engaging, and educational for all. As a leading community tennis organisation, we strive to inspire players of all ages and skill levels by providing high-quality coaching, programs, and events tailored to schools, community venues, and aspiring athletes.
Our Mission
We believe in the power of tennis to bring people together, promote physical and mental well-being, and foster personal development. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can learn, play, compete, and grow through the power of tennis.

- Community Tennis Initiatives – We help develop community assets for communities. Including open days and coaching sessions to encourage participation and engagement within the community.
- Player Development – Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, our structured coaching programs cater to all skill levels, helping players refine their technique and strategy.

About
Who we are...?
SHG Tennis is a rebrand of Coach2Compete founded in 2015 with the purpose of being more accessible to a wider player base beyond those who compete. Our team is headed up by Stephen Harding-Gilbert (LTA Level 4 Senior Club and Performance Coach) who has been coaching for over 15 years and been recognised for his work with awards including County Club Coach of the Year, County Performance Coach of the Year and County & North Region Education Award. Stephen is passionate about developing venues which are sustaoinable and more welcoming. He is extremely passionate about breaking down the perceptions and barriers that prevent individuals and groups accessing our amazing sport at every level. Stephen is also a LTA Tutor for the LTA Youth Teacher Training Course both primary and secondary as well as a qualified Tournament Referee.
