Court Care

The courts were resurfaced at considerable expense in 2025, but new courts can, however, be susceptible to damage, particularly in the first year or two. To keep the courts in good condition the Committee would be grateful if you and your families would take heed of the “Use of Courts” guidelines.

The main elements of the guidance are:

  • STOP play immediately if the surface shows signs of softening in warm weather.
  • Do not go on the courts with muddy shoes. There is a mat at the entrance to clean shoes.
  • Wear appropriate tennis shoes on the courts.

A copy will also be posted on the courts. Please also let a Committee member know if you see the courts being misused. Occasionally the netting is pulled away, perhaps because a football has been accidentally kicked onto the courts and retrieval has been attempted.  If such damage is spotted, please let Paul Curtis or one of the committee know.

Many thanks for your support.
