COVID-19 VIRUS UPDATE – January 2021
Tennis activity can continue to take place at Scone albeit on a further restricted basis, with updated guidelines in place. The full guidelines for Scotland can be found by going to the LTA website - https://www.lta.org.uk/
The main change in this lockdown is that we are back to playing singles. The Guidelines say:- You can exercise with people from other households outdoors. A maximum of two adults or children aged 12 and above from up to two separate households can meet outdoors for sport, meaning singles play only is possible, unless all players are from the same household or extended household.
As before all use of our courts has to be booked online through this website. Members and non-members can book by clicking on the Court Booking tab above, if you are not registered with this website you will be asked to do so at the time of booking. Currently members can book from up to three days in advance and non-members from one day in advance.
Please see the detailed Club and LTA guidance which is given under the Events tab on this website.
It is now necessary to use the floodlights for all evening court use. For those who do not have a Clubhouse key to access the light switches the courts are regularly used on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from approximately 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting. It MAY be possible to arrange access on other evenings on application to our Secretary, Douglas Gibson.
Please use the sanitiser provided inside the Clubhouse door after switching the floodlights on and off.
For the avoidance of doubt the Clubhouse remains closed except for access to the light switches and the first aid emergency box. (Members please note that balls will continue to be available just inside the clubhouse door - please return them after use - and unused balls can be purchased from Douglas Gibson as before, but there is no access to the remainder of the clubhouse.)
We are a Scottish Charity, SCO33915, and as an active community resource we try to cater for all ages and standards.
