Seaton Tennis Club has launched a free adult beginner coaching programme in memory of one of its long-term members.

The Arthur Ackerley Coaching Programme 2024 is a 6-week course running on Saturdays from 1pm to 2pm, starting on 11th May. 

Arthur was still playing tennis into his late 80s, before his sad passing in January 2024. Though he played at a high level all over the world, he also had a passion for welcoming people to the game.

Following his death, Arthur’s family and friends contributed to a generous memorial fund in his name, to enable the club to offer free adult beginner coaching and introduce new people to the pleasure that tennis can bring. 

The course is completely free - all we ask is that you commit to the 6-week course.
