COURT BOOKINGS
Unfortunately the playing surface on court number 3 has become uneven. Due to this the court has been removed from the online booking portal with immediate effect, as it would be unsafe to play tennis on uneven ground. The issues is currently being reviewed and will be repaired in a timely way. If you have any questions relating to this issue please don’t hesitate to contact the Physical Activity and Sports Development Team at Liverpool City Council PASDev@liverpool.gov.uk
A polite request.... if you have booked a court but no longer require the booking please make sure you CANCEL the court booking. This will enable other people to book and play. Courts can be booked for a maximum of one hour per person.
Sefton Park Tennis Courts
Sefton Park is arguably the best known and most loved by locals. Located in the South of the City, it provides 3 tarmac tennis courts, which are great to play on all year round. Reserve your court, free of charge, on the Court Bookings tab above.
TENNIS FOR FREE - every Sunday between 2 - 3 pm - you can pre-book here
Tuesday evening Adult Coaching - every Tuesday at 7pm during the summer months. Cost = £5 per session. You can just turn up or for more information call David on 07900 955155.
The tennis courts are situated between the playground and cafe, where you'll be able to purchase a range of refreshments.
Opposite the playground is Mersey Bowmen Lawn Tennis Club, the second oldest tennis club in the world! The six Mersey Bowmen tennis courts are provided for members but they offer competitive membership subscriptions, free beginners’ coaching, social tennis, league tennis, tournaments, floodlit tennis and more.
