BEGINNERS

Discover the fast-growing sport of pickleball with our range of Beginners sessions at South Devon Tennis Centre.

Our 'Pickleball Starter' session is designed to make you fall in love with the sport. Providing a structured introduction to the game, covering the essential skills, rules, and strategies that will set you up for success on court. With all equipment provided, you can simply turn up ready to learn in a supportive and professional environment.

If coming to the sport for the first time why not join our Free Taster session every Wednesday night 6-7pm or learn the scoring with Game Ready 5-6pm.

IMPROVERS

Already got the basics down? Step up your game with our Pickleball Improvers Groups, designed for players who have experience and are ready to develop more advanced skills and on-court strategies.

Each session focuses on one specific skill, giving you the chance to break it down technically, practise it with purpose, and learn exactly when and how to use it in real match situations.
For example, in a session on topspin dinks, we’ll cover the technique required to master the shot and explore the tactical moments when it can give you the winning edge.

DRILLS & SKILLS

Comfortable with the core techniques but want more consistency? Our Drills & Skills sessions are perfect for players who understand the game and now need focused, high-repetition practice to sharpen their shots.

These sessions are all about quality repeitions, purposeful patterns, and building the muscle memory that turns good technique into reliable, match-ready performance. Expect fast-paced drills, targeted repetition, and plenty of opportunities to refine your control, accuracy, and shot selection.
