Southsea Tennis Club was chosen by the extended Findlay family and friends to mark the occasion of Bridget Findlay’s 80th birthday. The photograph above shows the congregation which assembled at 1400 hrs on Saturday, 7th June, including a number of STC members, to wish Bridget Many Happy Returns!

The preceding Saturday mix-in from 1200 to 1400 hrs was devoted to Bridget who, with her son Sam, took on pairs of STC players in turn: first Ann and Angela, then Ian and John and concluding with Brian and Jess. Other members of the Findlay family, including some of its junior members, joined in the fun at various points.

The Club, which has enjoyed Bridget’s various contributions to its success over the years as Membership Secretary, a member of the then Club Management Committee and as a player, looks forward to Bridget’s continuing involvement with the Club as player and gardener for many years to come.
