Getting Started
1. I’m new to tennis – can I still join?
Absolutely! We welcome all ages and skill levels, including complete beginners.
2. Do I need to bring my own equipment?
We recommend bringing your own racquet, suitable sportswear and a bottle of water, but beginner racquets be borrowed from us. Tennis balls are provided for coaching sessions only so if you're coming to hire a court please bring balls with you if possible.
3. What type of clothing/shoes should I wear?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and sturdy trainers (preferably with good grip). We don't reccomend fashion trainers - no matter how cool they are.
Coaching & Lessons
4. Do you offer coaching for adults and kids?
Yes – we offer structured coaching programs for children, teens, and adults of all skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
5. Can I try a class before committing?
Absolutley! Please get in touch to let us know your level and we can match you with a session that we think would suit you! And you can decide from there.
6. What qualifications do your coaches have?
Our head coach Tass Towers is a Level 3 LTA-qualified with 15 years of experience coaching players of all levels in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Membership
7. How much does it cost?
We offer various coaching packages from pay-as-you-go to structered courses. Please view our "Coaching" tabs to see the different options you have!
9. Is there a joining fee?
There is NO JOINING FEE here!
Facilities & Booking
10. How do I book a court?
Courts can be booked online through our club booking system depending on availability.
11. Are courts available all year round?
Yes – we have both covered courts and outdoor courts!
12. Do you have any amenities?
We are lucky enough to be very close to the West Park café and toilets. Latté anyone?
Social Play & Competitions
13. Are there social tennis events I can join?
Yes! We run regular social tennis sessions. It's a great way to meet fellow members.
14. I’m interested in playing competitively – is that possible?
Absolutely. We have players and teams that play in both local and national leagues.
15. Will I be matched with players of a similar level?
Yes, we’ll help you connect with players at your skill level.
Juniors & Families
16. Is the club family-friendly?
Yes! We offer junior coaching, holiday camps and junior private sessions. Kids of all ages are welcome, and parents are welcome to say and watch too!
17. What age can my child start playing tennis?
Children can start as young as 3–4 years old with fun, age-appropriate sessions.
