Back in January, we began the campaign to restore the St Ann's Tennis Team. We gathered a trusty band of brothers and sisters for winter training, enough to put out a very decent team (two mixed pairs, one mens pair, one ladies pair) to contest Div 4 of the Brighton & Hove Parks League. We prepared eagerly in the hope of completing an Albion-like climb from the bottom of the pile. We were ready to rumble...and then Covid-19 hit and the 2020 Parks League season was cancelled. Damn. But all was not lost. By July, an intrepid band of tennis enthusiasts, lead by our very own David Redinha, introduced the BHPLTA Single League, and for the first time in three years, St Ann's has a team. And guess what? They're rather good. Two rounds into the season, Team St Ann's are not just back but are sitting on top of the league: P8 W7 L1. This is amazing! So thank you to Team St Ann's and good luck to the rest of the season. Matches are played Wednesday evenings, so come and watch them at St Ann's Well Gardens #victory
